How to Prep Your Skin Before a Big Fall Event.

In the weeks leading up to a fall wedding or other big events you may have on the books, you want to give your skin special attention so it looks better than ever come party time. By pampering your skin in advance, you’re setting up your complexion for that visibly healthy glow you desire. Get the glow going with the following tried-and-true tips.

1. Treat Puffy Eyes and Crow’s Feet.

To be the visibly bright-eyed beauty you are, try incorporating both a fine line eye serum and hydrogel eye masks into your regular skin care routine. Both products may help rehydrate the delicate under-eye skin, reduce the look of puffiness, and minimize the appearance of fine lines.

An eye serum with plant-based Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is great because this moisture-binding and skin-rejuvenating protein helps support the skin’s natural collagen production. Combining it with hydrogel eye masks (or even a hydrogel mask for the entire face) featuring hyaluronic acid and glycerin gives you the perfect pairing for hydrated, smooth-looking skin.

2. Refine the Surface of Your Skin.

A gentle but effective exfoliator is another excellent product to prep your skin for your upcoming event. A great formula may help reveal your skin’s natural radiance by buffing away dead, dry skin.

While refining the surface of your skin, you also want the product to nourish and hydrate at the same time with ingredients such as glycerin, sunflower oil, and vitamin E. A balanced exfoliator should leave your skin looking softer, smoother, and refreshed. You only need to exfoliate once or twice a week.

3. Try a Different Type of Face Cleansing.

Want a secret for a great cleanse that won’t dry out your skin? Micellar cleansing water is gentle yet gives you a thorough cleanse. A high-quality micellar water is great for all skin types and is designed to not irritate or dry out your skin. You can effectively remove dirt, makeup, and other impurities without stripping your skin of its natural oils. Try a hydrating, plant-based, oil-free micellar water made with pure, soft Icelandic water. Its low concentration of hard minerals ensures it doesn’t irritate or dry out the skin.

4. Keep Skin Moisturized.

If you don’t already have a face cream you love, look into a moisturizer that is suitable for all skin types and won’t leave your skin feeling greasy. Some people switch to a heavier moisturizer in the fall, but you certainly don’t have to, especially if you have oily skin.

A well-formulated hydrating cream boosts the moisture levels in your skin and provides long-lasting hydration. Seek out a lightweight, oil-free formula with antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and plant-based EGF.

If you follow the above tips and are gentle with your skin, it can look glowing and hydrated for all your fabulous events this fall.
